RONALD M. SEGA is the Woodward Professor of Systems Engineering at Colorado State University and is the Vice President for Energy, Environment and Applied Research with Colorado State University Research Foundation. He also serves as special advisor to the Colorado State University president for energy and the environment. He most recently was the under secretary of the Air Force from 2005-2007 where he led the Air Force team that won the overall Presidential Award for Leadership in Federal Energy Management for 2006. From 2001-2005, he served as Director of Defense Research and Engineering, the chief technology officer for the Department of Defense. He retired from the Air Force Reserve in 2005 as a major general in the position of reserve assistant to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff after 31 years in the Air Force, having served in various assignments at Air Force Space Command and as a pilot. A former astronaut, he flew aboard Space Shuttles Discovery (1994) and Atlantis (1996). Since 1982, Dr. Sega has also been a faculty member in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at Colorado University at Colorado Springs, serving as dean from 1996-2001. Dr. Sega holds a B.S. in math and physics from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, an M.S. in physics from the Ohio State University and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado.

Kevin Suitor, Vice President, Marketing at Redline Communications, is responsible for identifying key partnerships and building market awareness globally. Mr. Suitor is widely recognized for his expertise in the telecommunications industry and is Redline's primary WiMAX Forum delegate. Prior to joining Redline in 2001, Mr. Suitor built a solid track record at the executive level in a variety of roles with organizations such as CopperCom, CTI Datacom, Tekelec, DCI Digital Communication Inc. and Wandel & Goltermann. His extensive market and technology knowledge relating to service providers and equipment manufacturers has helped him author numerous articles in several industry publications. Mr. Suitor is also a regular speaker on topics such as broadband fixed wireless, 802.16, WiMAX, VoIP and virtual private networks.




Ryusuke Masuoka

Dr. Ryusuke Masuoka is the director of Trusted Systems Innovation Group at Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc. at Sunnyvale, California, USA. He is also an adjunct professor of UMIAC, University of Maryland, USA. Since joining Fujitsu Laboratories Ltd. in 1988, he has conducted research into neural networks, simulated annealing, and agent systems. Results from all of those research areas have lead to products from Fujitsu. After moving to Fujitsu Laboratories of America, Inc. in March of 2001, he has engaged in researches on pervasive/ubiquitous computing, Semantic Web, and bioinformatics, from which Task Computing resulted. Now he has extended his research into Trusted Computing, Smart Grid, and Software/Security Validation.




John R. Bryan
President
Secure Smart Grid Association

Mr. Bryan is the President of the Secure Smart Grid Association. He previously was the Project Director of the Rocky Mountain Secure Smart Grid Initiative and was Xcel Energy’s Utility Innovations’ program manager responsible for their Vehicle-to-Grid Plug In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (V2G PHEV) project, SmartGridCity™ Distributed Generation project, and the utility’s Wind to Battery Energy Storage project. Mr. Bryan is an ex-quality engineer and manufacturing engineer from the automotive manufacturing industry. He has worked for a Tier 1 supplier to Ford, GM, Toyota, and others and has also led telecommunications deployment programs for Qwest Communications.
