LOS ANGELES --(Business Wire)--
The Opportunity Green Sustainable Business Conference, which brings together leading companies and visionaries in business, technology, and design to showcase the hottest opportunities for driving profitability through sustainability, today announced its final agenda and speaker list for the 2009 conference, taking place November 7-8 at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. The conference will feature interactive breakout sessions and workshops on Clean Technology, Green Venture Capital, Design and Operations, Next Generation Transportation, Trends in Green Products, Implementing Sustainability, Life Cycle Analysis, and Sustainability Management Maturity.
A sample of the diverse list of speakers include: Michael Hopkins, editor-in-chief of the MIT (News - Alert) Sloan Management Review, discussing findings from the Review's first annual "Business of Sustainability" study; Annie Leonard, producer of "The Story of Stuff," a blockbuster viral film about consumption, on Storytelling for Change; and Beth Springer, Executive VP of The Clorox Company, on the company's own successful journey to creating green brands and sustainable business processes. On Sunday, November 8, Marc Alt of Opportunity Green Enterprises will present the finalists of the OG25 Sustainable Business Contest, who will present onstage for the chance to be named "Opportunity Green's Top Start-up of 2009."

The Opportunity Green experience is an immersion in eco-lifestyle products, habits and trends. From the organic meals to the materials used throughout, as well as the resource recovery efforts, the Opportunity Green "green team" will be working to ensure that nearly every facet of this year's conference is a high quality and uncompromising immersion into a fun, eco-friendly experience. Every one of the more than 500 attendees will be outfitted with a KOR re-usable water bottle to be filled up at the various filtered EVERPURE water stations as well as To-Go Ware non-disposable bamboo utensils and a personal re-usable napkin called a PeopleTowel. Offsets are being provided by TerraPass. The goal behind providing these essential items is to showcase that it's possible to significantly minimize waste, even at an industry conference.
