Packages of cocaine are removed from tanks found on a vessel in Puerto Rico.
The vessel and all evidence were processed for seizure and turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
This seizure is an example of the collaboration between the various agencies of the Caribbean Border Interagency Group working together for a common cause. Working in tandem with local agencies and the Department of Justice, U.S. Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement will continue to stem the flow of narcotics and illegal traffic across the Mona Passage between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico.
