Thanks to the pact, ACA now has become exclusive supplier of hardware accessories for Mercury Cable’s HVCRC product line in the United States and Canada.

In consideration for exclusive status, ACA agreed to make Mercury Cable its exclusive purchaser (excluding 3M (News - Alert)) of hardware accessories for composite conductor.

“Mercury Cable’s HVCRC line complements our existing line of transmission products and reaffirms our commitment of exceptional quality and selection for our customers,” said Gary Harter, commercial and engineering manager for ACA, in a statement.

Harter said that the company looks forward to working with General Cable and Mercury Cable as their exclusive supplier of HVCRC accessories for the North American market.
ACA Conductor Accessories is a supplier of aluminum conductor accessories.

“We are pleased to reach this agreement with ACA,” said Todd Harris, president of Mercury.

Harris said that as the leading High Temperature Accessory manufacturer in North America, ACA is an ideal fit for the introduction into the U.S. and Canadian markets of Mercury’s HVCRC products stranded by General Cable.

In January Mercury Cable & Energy announced that its operating subsidiary engaged Jordana Electric, Inc. to represent its HVCRC Smart Conductor product line in Mexico.

As part of its representation obligations under this agreement, Jordana Electric has committed to completing certification of Mercury's HVCRC product line with Laboratorio de Pruebas de Equipos y Materiales (LAPEM) within 12 months and Jordana Electric has guaranteed specified minimum orders in exchange for its exclusive representation rights to be granted by Mercury.

Jordana Electric is an established international manufacturer’s representative with a broad spectrum product line providing cable, insulators, poles and substation components to the utility transmission and distribution industry and alternative energy components for the solar, wind and bio-fuel industries.
