Products with DASH7 wireless sensor networking capability simplify the way we connect with the people, places and things around us. Operating in the license-free 433 MHz spectrum, DASH7 offers multi-kilometer range, multi-year battery life, sensor and security support, and tag-to-tag communications. DASH7 devices operate on a single global frequency and are interoperable "out of the box" regardless of application and by design do not require cumbersome application profiles. DASH7 is the brand given to the ISO 18000-7 standard for active RFID similar to the use of the Wi-Fi brand for IEEE 802.11 communications.

"We welcome GuardRFID's involvement in the Alliance to advance our efforts to establish DASH7 as the global standard for wireless sensor networking," said Patrick Burns, president of the DASH7 Alliance. "GuardRFID's leadership in the healthcare sector is particularly important to the DASH7 vision given the market opportunity not only inside the hospital, but also in the broader medical supply chain." "Significant adoption of Active RFID will only occur through collaboration by the suppliers and users of the technology," said Zahir Abji, President and CEO of GuardRFID. "Convergence and standardization of the technology through such cooperation gives its consumers comfort that it has longevity, and also gives them the ability to mix and match devices and products to create solutions better tailored for their needs. We hope to be able to contribute to the DASH7 Alliance's pursuit of this goal".
