Cloud9 IDE announces support for Windows Azure
Jun 07, 2012 (TELECOMWORLDWIRE via COMTEX) --
Cloud-based Integrated Development Environment (IDE) provider Cloud9 IDE announced on Wednesday its continued support of Windows Azure.
The company said that it now adds deployment to the latest version of Windows Azure directly from within the IDE.
Windows Azure is an open cloud platform that allows users to build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed data centres. It was first made available to Cloud9 IDE users in January 2012. At the time, a typical deployment took 8-10 minutes. Starting today, the one-click system of the latest version has made it possible for deployment to happen within seconds.
Cloud9 IDE users have access to Windows Azure options including the ability to specify: number of compute instances; operating system; data centre location; whether to deploy to staging or production; and VM configuration with CPU and RAM options.
No pricing details were disclosed.
