Cinterion Enables Secure M2M Connectivity for Industrial Automation and Control Systems in Brazil

Developed by Novus Automation, a leading manufacturer of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA), the system links industrial equipment to backend computer systems providing 24/7 remote supervision.

The Cinterion (News - Alert) high-performance plug-in and play module provides secure wireless connectivity for remote monitoring and management of industrial processes in manufacturing and building automation environments.

With a powerful embedded Java™ engine, the Cinterion solution runs AirGate software directly on the module freeing up valuable computing power for innovative automation tasks such as controlling robots and improving energy efficiency in manufacturing. The AirGate features multiple industrial interfaces for flexibility and easy integration with any automation system.

JMD Automação, a Brazilian solution provider recently implemented the new Novus device at several manufacturing facilities in Brazil and reported immediate improved performance and efficiency.
