Industrial Defender to Present Methodology for Evaluating Critical Infrastructure Security at Digital Bond's S4 Event

Industrial Defender, the leading global provider of security, compliance and change management solutions for automation systems, announced today that Jacob Kitchel, senior manager of security and compliance, will be speaking at Digital Bond's 2013 SCADA Security Scientific Symposium (S4).This year's event is being held on January 15 - 18, 2013 in Miami, Florida.

Kitchel will host a session, titled "Am I Compromised " and will discuss ways industrial control system (ICS) professionals can evaluate an asset's security prior to deploying whitelisting technology. During his presentation, Kitchel will highlight the relationships between assurance in binary executables and the traditional resources of risk assessment data. He will explain how these relationships can be combined to determine an environment's integrity and devise a methodology for establishing an "Am I Compromised " Confidence Score.

In his role as senior manager of security and compliance, Kitchel is responsible for security and compliance strategy across Industrial Defender's products. Previously, as part of Industrial Defender's Risk Assessment team, Kitchel performed numerous risk assessment services, such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessment for customers in the oil, natural gas, chemical, water and electric industries.
