IUS Technologies Announces Groundbreaking Test Results with Major U.S. Utility AEP

$1B Vitzro Group subsidiary IUS Technologies is excited to announce the initial U.S. test results of its smart series sensors. Late in 2011 IUS combined forces with American Electric Power (AEP) to assess the accuracy of its end-of-line smart sensors - the VS1000 and VS3000. AEP serves an 11-state area and over five million customers, providing IUS with a wide market sample.

The distribution automation technology of these sensors has been vital in creating a stable South Korean electric system that has tremendous resilience, up time, and smart rerouting. IUS Technologies says the result of their testing with AEP means that this technology onshores in North America extremely well, and can indeed be a major benefit to large US utilities, municipalities and co-ops. The company plans to begin manufacturing immediately in their Alpharetta, Georgia, location.

IUS executive Scott Zajowski says, "We are excited with the positive test outcomes, demonstrating that our devices have exceeded industry expectations. They are market-ready and clearly at the forefront of smart grid technology." Initial testing confirms the VS3000 is efficient to a level of 0.3 percent accuracy, outperforming similar devices on the market and at a lower cost per unit for acquisition.
