Attorneys Jeffrey A. Sklar and Andrew T. Kirsh, with a combined 25 years
of experience working at the country's largest law firms, have founded
Sklar Kirsh LLP, a Los Angeles-based law firm concentrating on corporate
and real estate transactional law.
Based in Century City, Sklar Kirsh LLP opens its doors with a team of
nine attorneys experienced in the resolution of a wide range of complex
legal and business matters. Sklar chairs the firm's Corporate
Department, which counsels high net worth individuals, and start-up,
emerging and middle market companies at all stages of the business life
cycle including business planning, mergers and acquisitions, equity and
debt financing, securities, tax, licensing, intellectual property and
business disputes. Sklar Kirsh LLP's corporate clients include local,
regional and national businesses in alternative energy, automotive,
banking, consumer products, digital media, entertainment, food and
beverage, healthcare and technology.
Sklar began his career in 2001 as corporate lawyer with Alschuler
Grossman Stein & Kahan LLP. He spent seven years in Loeb & Loeb's
Corporate Department before starting Sklar Law PC in 2010. He received
his BA from Michigan State University and his JD from Loyola Law School
of Los Angeles. He has been named a Southern California Super Lawyer in
2013, a Rising Star, Southern California Super Lawyers, in 2006, 2007,
2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012, and was a finalist in the 3rd Annual 40 Under
40 M&A Advisor Recognition Awards - West Region.
Kirsh chairs the firm's Real Estate Department, which represents
developers, operators, syndicators, investors, funds and lenders in a
wide range of matters including acquisitions, dispositions, equity
investments, syndications, fund formation, development, leasing,
financing, note purchases and foreclosures. Sklar Kirsh LLP's real
estate clients include institutions, family offices, and regional owners
and operators across all asset classes of real estate, including
multi-family, retail, office, industrial, and hospitality.
Kirsh began his career in 2000 in the Los Angeles office of Latham &
Watkins. He then joined Goodwin Procter where he played an integral role
in opening the firm's Los Angeles office. Most recently, he was a
partner with Beverly Hills-based Raines Feldman. Kirsh earned his BA and
JD degrees from Northwestern University. Real Estate Forum Magazine recognized
Kirsh in 2011 and 2012 as "Top 40 Under 40? in the real estate industry
nationally. Law & Politics and Los Angeles Magazine
also have recognized him as a "Southern California Super Lawyer Rising
Star" for the past six consecutive years.
