The Pronto solution allows companies to eliminate the use of paper forms in the field. In addition, this solution from TrueContext provides real-time capture and reporting of information using mobile devices.
Company officials said that this Software as a Service (SaaS (News - Alert)) platform mobilizes common processes like inspections, audits, surveys and work orders used in industries such as retail, health care, energy, property management, financial services and education.
In April, TrueContext announced support for Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices for its Pronto self-service, self-configurable mobile forms platform.
The BlackBerry Bold smartphone operates in Canada on Rogers’ 3G network and features QWERTY keyboard, built-in GPS, enterprise-grade Wi-Fi and a set of multi-media capabilities.
Additionally, the BlackBerry Bold smartphone from Rogers Wireless (News - Alert) features access to the Rogers Do More portal to download Pronto Forms mobile applications for business and personal use.
Now, enterprise users with the new RIM device can “augment the capabilities of this new smartphone with the rich Pronto mobile forms platform,” according to company officials.
Alvaro Pombo, CEP at TrueContext, said that organizations are looking to increase their mobile capabilities through the advanced utilization of wireless devices, while at the same time rapidly improving the quality of their service delivery in the field.
“Pronto Forms and the new BlackBerry Bold are a perfect duo to optimize mobile worker productivity,” he added.
Pronto Forms allows for the deployment of paperless extensions to mobile workflow activities and simplifies field data capture. According to TrueContext, Pronto delivers quality and cycle time improvements over paper collection processes.
This patented technology allows non-technical customers to build, manage, configure, and deploy a wide variety of mobile workforce applications.
Earlier in June, De La Rue International said that it had completed the global rollout of TrueContext’s Pronto forms solution throughout its Field Mobility team.
