Boost Mobile Launches Motorola i776 Phone

Boost Mobile, a division of Sprint Nextel (News - Alert) Corporation, has launched the Motorola i776 cell phone.

The Motorola i776 comes with a host of features including Bluetooth Wireless Technology, a VGA Camera, GPS, text and instant message, and Multi-Media Messaging and Wireless Web capabilities, as well as access to AOL (News - Alert), Yahoo! and MSN.

“We are pleased to add the i776 phone to our lineup of easy-to-use and durable devices from Motorola (News - Alert), especially for value-conscious consumers who want more ways to communicate: voice, chirp, text messaging and more," said Neil Lindsay, vice president of marketing, Boost Mobile.

The i776 is Boost's smallest flip phone with a camera, and includes Boost Mobile's exclusive Boost Walkie-Talkie service, enabling customers to instantly communicate with millions of Boost, Sprint and Nextel Direct Connect (or walkie-talkie) customers nationwide.

Boost Walkie-Talkie costs only a dollar a day for unlimited nationwide usage and the fee is only charged on days when the service is actually used or a walkie-talkie call is received.

In addition, customers can use the phone to connect to Nextel International (NII) walkie-talkie users in other countries, including Canada, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Peru -- all at the push of a button.

Moreover, as with all Boost Mobile Pay As You Go handsets, there are no credit checks, hidden charges or monthly bills. Boost Mobile Pay As You Go customers decide how to pay for minutes only as they need them through the purchase of Re-Boost Cards available at all authorized Boost retailers, online at www.boostmobile.com or from their phone.

Boost Mobile recently introduced Chat Plan, which offers unlimited night and weekend calling, unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling for calls to and from Boost, Sprint and Nextel subscribers nationwide, and unlimited text messaging for a dollar a day and offers low daytime rates.

Boost Mobile is a division of Sprint Nextel Corporation that offers wireless phones and pre-paid services with no long-term contracts, credit checks or activation fees.

Boost is a popular prepaid wireless brand in the U.S. and has approximately four million customers -- the majority of which are 18 to 34 years old. Boost-branded wireless phones with Boost Walkie-Talkie service are available nationwide at approximately 17,500 major retail and independent wireless dealer locations, and Re-Boost is available at approximately 100,000 locations throughout the U.S.
