We have lots of positive developments since the last update
, and I wanted to share a few with you here.
First, the kickoff press release
about the Smart Grid Summit
hit the wires on Tuesday, so the word is officially out in the marketplace. Aside from announcing the Summit to a broad audience, the updated agenda was presented, along with a list of confirmed speakers. We are receiving numerous inquiries about speaking and registering, and we can see some nice momentum starting to build.
Complementing the press release is a variety of outreach from sources such as Linked In, a listing in the Events section of the GridWise Alliance Web site, and individual efforts from confirmed speakers sharing the news across their companies, customers and partners. We’ll have another press release coming next week, by which time we expect the speaking roster will be complete.
We are continuing to add speakers to the program daily, and as awareness of the Summit grows, we anticipate having more requests than we can accommodate. It’s a nice problem to have, and it will serve us well as we think ahead to January when we hope to be running the Summit as a full-fledged event. Virtually every company we speak to is interested in the Summit, and we are excited about being able to expand our event to address a wider ecosystem of Smart Grid companies.
As noted in my last update, this portal is also starting to take shape. In addition to the news feeds and editorial provided by TMC (News
), my partner – Shidan Gouran
– and I are focused developing ongoing content that is more thought leadership-oriented.
We feel this combination of breaking news and exclusive insight/analysis pieces will give our portal a distinct edge over other sources of Smart Grid coverage. Shidan has just published his first thought leadership piece
, with many more to come, and my first Q&A interview
is running as well. Both of us will continue in this vein, but we also have plans for regular guest submissions (let us know if you have something to say!), podcasts and video interviews, so make sure to bookmark this site if you haven’t already.
Don’t forget to check out TMCnet’s White Paper Library, which provides a selection of in-depth information on relevant topics affecting the IP Communications industry. The library offers white papers, case studies and other documents which are free to registered users.
