The Santa Clara Convention Center is going to be abuzz with activity on the Smart Grid front during May 23-26, 2011, which has been designated as Connectivity Week. Trilliant (News - Alert), which delivers smart grid solutions that increase energy efficiency and utility operations, will participate.
Trilliant will be exhibiting in Booth 600 and Nathan Ota, Solutions Product Marketing Manager, Trilliant will participate in a panel on May 26 at 10.30 a.m. He is expected to discuss the leveraging of HAN for HEMS in Connected Homes.
During the discussion, Ota will touch upon the new technologies that have emerged as a result of the home area's network (HAN) on the smart meter. In addition, he will keep the attendees abreast of the latest industry standards and the impact on the connected home.
He is also expected to throw light on the what kind of communication networking solutions are needed to integrate in-home applications with wide area networks (WAN) and neighborhood area networks (NAN).
Connectivity Week will look beyond the smart grid and explore the value propositions, business models, and technologies that are likely to contribute to the success of the Smart Grid. It will look at how ICT can be applied across a wide spectrum of vertical application, how energy efficiency can be achieved and how the efficiency on the grid can be enhanced. In short, it connects 'smart people' with 'smart grid ideas.'
