Vivint, a home automation company in North America with close to 500,000 customers, announced that its Smart Home Technologies can save real customers from armed intruders, fire and medical emergencies.
With its customer service and smart technology, Vivint is dedicated to enhancing security and increasing energy efficiency.
Home automation technologies include features that add ease and convenience for consumers, besides securing and saving their lives.
The company shared three real experiences of their customers and how their home automation systems kept them safe.
Leveraging the Vivint system, Pamela C., Sparks, Nevada, saved herself from an armed intruder.
The instructions Pamela received from the Vivint operator made sure she did the best thing possible in the worst situation. She was panicked but her Vivint operator surely wasn’t.
“I would not have survived this without being alerted by the alarm and then coached through this awful event. I never dreamed this would happen to me. I know I would not have done the right things had it not been for the operator coaching me on what to do in the heat of the moment,” Pamela said, in a statement.
Meleasa C., of Little Rock, Ark, was one of the Vivint customers whose son escaped from burning home, utilizing Vivint systems.
When the fire broke out at her home, the Vivint security system notified the fire department quickly and they were able to get to Meleasa’s house, rescue her son, who suffers from chronic back pain, and put the fire out before much damage was done.
Marcella J., of Fort Worth, Tex., who was rescued after a medical emergency, has a similar story to narrate.
Shortly after installing their new Vivint system, Marcella was talking with a friend on the telephone when she was overwhelmed by headache and nausea. Somewhere between hanging up the phone and passing out, she pushed the emergency button on her in-home control panel. The next thing Marcella remembers is waking up to a Vivint operator talking to her over the panel.
Recently, Vivint announced that it has been selected to install municipal water meter system for Sandy City, Utah. Vivint’s smart grid solutions division will install 24,000 Sensus’ Flexnet meters over the next several years.
