Silver Spring Networks Reveals Speed-to-Value Program, Improves ROI and Offers Benefits for Customers

Silver Spring Networks, a business focused on creating a better, safer and healthier environment for everyone, has developed products to deploy a broad set of smart grid initiatives. Its smart grid network for reducing CO2 emissions not only has empowered people everywhere with a clean renewable energy system for a sustainable energy future, but has had people saving energy and money as well as has been enabling utilities and customers to manage their energy usage and be in better control over their consumption.

In addition to benefiting from the company’s services, assistance and hosting choices to experience a true end-to-end smart grid solution, there is also its “Speed-to-Value” program, which can cut the cost of fault location by up to 75 percent, present reliable distributed automation and reduce costs up to 20 percent for customers, offer better performance and value over legacy systems with Direct-to-Grid technology and load control and provide energy savings (up to four percent) with use of Silver Spring’s UtilityIQ Voltage Optimizer CVR (Conservation Voltage Reduction) solution.

Again the four initial offerings included in the Silver Spring Speed-to-Value program are distribution automation, fault Location, load control and CVR. Additional offerings are under development. The four offerings mentioned are solutions that are accessible now to attract interested clients. The company has announced this news on program’s availability on 27 September.

Silver Spring Networks says its program, which is built atop its standards-based Smart Energy Platform, now offers users “four new cost-effective solutions that let you get more value from your smart grid by deploying more applications on the network and delivering measurable results, faster.”

Some of the benefits offered by the Speed-to-Value program include accelerate ROI, superior demand response performance, secure, low-latency communications for DA devices, advanced grid sensors – the Master Monitor 2 (MM2) sensors for leveraging the Silver Spring network and energy efficiency as well as savings – which are a result of the Advanced Metering, CVR and the Dominion EDGE CVR software.

This eco-system company has not only the unified Smart Energy Platform, that incorporates its standards-based network infrastructure, software and services, but it also offers devices, applications, cloud services and solutions to improve service reliability for its customers as well as reduce operational costs and energy consumption.
