myEnergyPlatform.com Reduces Rates on Infrastructure Consulting Services to Aid Disaster Relief

In order to aid disaster recovery efforts after a hurricane – particularly one as severe as Hurricane Sandy – Archangel Energy Group (AEG), a NY-based smart grid energy company that owns and operates both myEnergyPlatform.com and NY Electric Services Company, has decided to reduce rates for all Infrastructure-related services in New York City.

The company has taken this step to help NYC energy users who were affected by the most recent hurricane.

Last October, Hurricane Sandy made landfall in the mid-Atlantic and northeastern United States. The heavy storm flooded NYC on October 29 and forced the shutdown of mass transit, schools and companies and financial market, making costal residents leave their homes and cutting power in and around the city.

Archangel Energy Group started work immediately after the storm hit, and employees reached the site within hours after the damage was done. They started replacing and reconditioning the submerged electrical wiring and equipment, components that had been submerged in water.

Employees worked to resume power within days.

A spokesperson for Archangel Energy Group stated in a statement, “Over the past three months we have focused almost exclusively on Infrastructure Consulting Services and project more of the same for the better part of this year.”

After evaluating all the customer care requests since the hurricane, the company noticed that infrastructure-related services have exceeded all other services by a margin of three to one of smart grid energy services. Recently, the company began taking up electricity projects related to electrical switchgear replacement, emergency generator and systems identification, and UPS branch circuit mapping.

“In an effort to continue to aid disaster recovery efforts,” said Archangel’s COO, “we intend to temporarily suspend smart grid energy project and slash our rates for clients affected by Hurricane Sandy and in need of infrastructure consulting services.”
