The book already identified by many industry leaders as the “preeminent resource for understanding, architecting and deploying a functional smart grid”, traces the journey of the smart grid right from its origin to its current state and comprehensively explores its potential.

"The Advanced Smart Grid illustrates in detail the importance of network security, interoperability and architecture design to successfully realize the investments to be made in modernizing the electric grid," said Tracy Trent, CEO and co-founder of Proximetry (News - Alert), in a press release.

Drawing upon his 25 years of experience in energy, communications and other allied industries, Carvallo candidly shares his views about the deployment and management of the smart grid, the lessons he learned, and the challenges that he faced.

According to Guido Bartels, Chairman, Global Smart Grid Federation, the book delivers a practical approach and candid opinions that bring clarity to the advancement of the Smart Grid.

William R. Moroney, just recently retired president and chief executive officer at the Utilities Telecom Council, said in a statement, "It is the right book for these times. If you read only one book on the smart grid, you have already picked the right one."

The Advanced Smart Grid: Edge Power Driving Sustainability" is now available for purchase at the ArtechHouse website.
