Grid Dynamics and Gogrid Help Companies Overcome Hurdles in Application Testing and Development

Grid Dynamics, which helps enterprises in scaling mission critical systems, and its cloud infrastructure partner, GoGrid, announced the launch of Cloud4QA services to help enterprises quickly adopt cloud computing infrastructure for application testing and development.

Application testing is a part of software development project. However, because of the high cost involved in purchasing, configuring and maintaining the hardware, most development projects use less hardware and test less frequently.

Those who have invested in testing labs realize that these precious resources are either over- or under-subscribed most of the time. Also, frequent set-up and re-configuration of these environments between the test runs become significant cost factors and process bottlenecks.

The lack of adequate test hardware results in backlog accumulation of testing jobs with increased time-to-market, as well as sub-optimal software quality.

Built on Grid Dynamics’ proprietary methodology, Cloud4QA addresses these issues by providing developers with unlimited hardware resources dedicated to them, available in any configuration for any period of time. This on-demand resource provisioning results in reduction in cost of ownership and location independence, officials added.

Officials say that all these benefits are offered at a price point that even the most budget-constrained organizations can afford. “This is a game-changer for the software development industry,” says Victoria Livschitz, CEO and founder of Grid Dynamics.

Grid Dynamics will complement the Cloud4QA solution with its hosted cloud offering. GoGrid, which provides cloud computing, hosted and Internet services, delivers true “Control in the Cloud” in the form of cloud centers.

“Customers who are looking to move their test and development environment into the cloud will greatly benefit from Grid Dynamics' expertise combined with GoGrid's market-leading cloud offerings and hosting infrastructure” said John Keagy, CEO and co-founder of GoGrid, in a statement.

Back in April, Grid Dynamics announced partnership with Terracotta, a provider of infrastructure software for enterprise Java scalability, to meet customer demand for architecting, developing and deploying mission-critical applications on affordable and scalable Java infrastructures.

As per the terms of this partnership, Grid Dynamics will provide technology assessment and Scale 101 services – a four-week engagement designed for customers who are already planning a migration and would like consulting and engineering services to address key milestones for a successful project to Terracotta.
