Radio Waves, Inc., a provider of microwave antennas for unlicensed ISM & UNII bands, Wi-Fi, WiMax, MMDS, LMDS, Point-to-Multipoint and Point-to-Point microwave applications, announced the availability of the company’s new line of SP microwave antennas called the SPX-1.8NS series covering from 1.7 – 1.9 GHz in all sizes from 1 foot to 8 feet in diameter.
These antennas, according to the company officials, cover a number of services including the Canadian smart grid network band of 1800 – 1830 MHz and the U.S. federal government band of 1755 – 1850 MHz. The frequency range of 1.7 – 1.9 GHz also is said to cover some international bands utilized for public safety and other government applications in certain countries.
“We wanted to immediately support customers in the Canadian smart grid network markets that need to deploy systems in this new band shortly,” said Andy Singer, executive vice president and general manager of Radio Waves.
“Radio Waves unique design and manufacturing flexibility allows us to offer these new 1.7 to 1.9 GHz microwave antennas dishes quickly, so that these important networks can be deployed as soon as radios are available,” he added.
Founded in 1983, Radio Waves has been specializing in microwave antennas for microwave applications. The company has been enabling superior microwave antennas for military, homeland security and commercial applications such as cellular base station interconnects, private networks, disaster recovery and many other applications.
